ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Aaisha Sheereen Durr is an American Muslim writer who was born on November 17, 1988 in Iowa City, IA. She's the youngest of four and was raised by her single mother and late grandmother on the south side of Chicago, IL.

She grew up fascinated with music and art. As a child she would often find the time to stand in her grandmother's front room and belt out classic Disney songs, whether someone was there or not to hear her.

Her passion for music and art continued well into her young adulthood, as she performed original songs at local colleges and events.

While dabbling in the fine arts; music, poetry, painting and of course writing,  Aaisha obtained her Medical Assisting degree & Phlebotomy certificate and is currently working with Deafblind students at a residential school in the west suburban area of Illinois.
